Shoe storage?? - shoe storage boxes

Has anyone suggestions for the proper storage for shoes?, I thought, we were hanging pictures, but they seem a little cheap. I looked into the clear boxes that you can buy, as I have able to see all the routes through the whole series to any of them are good?
